Police have sealed off part of Goldsmith Avenue in Portsmouth this morning after a fierce blaze tore through a large property. Multiple fire crews from Southsea rushed to the scene, battling the flames.

Elderly Woman Rescued After Passersby Spot Flames
Paramedics from South Central Ambulance Service treated a woman in her 90s after alert onlookers spotted smoke and flames on the property’s first floor and raised the alarm. Firefighters broke through to rescue the unconscious woman from the house.
She was rushed to Queen Alexandra Hospital in Cosham suffering from smoke inhalation. Crews continue their efforts as the investigation into the fire’s origin continues.
