Murder Probe Launched After Bracknell Attack Turns Fatal
Thames Valley Police have launched a murder investigation following a brutal assault in Bracknell in the early hours of Tuesday.
Man Attacked Near Honda Garage
Between 2:40am and 3:40am on April 10, a 42-year-old Bracknell man was viciously assaulted on London Road, close to the Honda garage. He was rushed to John Radcliffe Hospital in a life-threatening state.
Victim Identified as Miroslaw Januszkiewicz
Tragically, the man later died. Police have confirmed the victim’s identity as Miroslaw Januszkiewicz from Bracknell.
A 28-year-old suspect, initially held for attempted murder, is now arrested for murder and remains in police custody.
Police Appeal for Witnesses and Dashcam Footage
“We continue to investigate the circumstances of this incident in which a man has sadly died. Mr Januszkiewicz’s next of kin have been informed and we are supporting them with the help of family liaison officers,” said Detective Chief Inspector Andy Howard.
“We are appealing for anyone who was driving along London Road between 2am and 3:45am on Tuesday to come forward, especially if you have dashcam footage or any information. Anyone who saw the assault or the victim lying injured, please get in touch.”
A scene watch remains in place on London Road and is expected to continue until tomorrow.
