Brighton Stabbing: Man Dies After Horror Collision and Attack
Police have launched a murder probe after a 22-year-old man died following a brutal stabbing in Brighton on Saturday night.
Stabbing Victim Found After Car Crash
At 9.28pm, emergency services were called to Elm Grove near St Joseph’s Church. Officers found the victim, Abdul Deghayes from Brighton, slumped in the passenger seat of a silver Volkswagen Polo. The car had smashed into several vehicles in the busy area near Lewes Road and The Level.
Abdul had multiple stab wounds. He was rushed to Royal Sussex County Hospital but tragically died at 6.28am the following morning.
Police Seek Witnesses to Shocking Incident
“We are working hard to piece together exactly what happened,” said Chief Inspector Andy Bennett. “The injuries were caused maliciously — not by the crash itself. We want to speak to anyone who saw the collision or anything suspicious around that time.”
