16-Year-Old Boy Murdered in Newham Sparks Major Police Hunt

Detectives launch full murder probe after the body of a teenage boy is found near Gallions Reach DLR Station in Newham.

Tragic Discovery at Atlantis Avenue

Police were scrambled at 8:38am on Tuesday, 3 March, following reports from London Ambulance Service of an unresponsive male near Gallions Reach DLR Station, Atlantis Avenue E6.

Officers arrived to find a 16-year-old boy with a fatal head injury. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Identity Known, Family Notified

While formal ID checks are ongoing, police believe they know who the victim is and have informed his next of kin.

A post-mortem will be arranged to determine the exact cause of death.

Police Treat Death as Suspicious

The investigation is being led by the Specialist Crime Command, backed by the North East Command Unit. Officers remain at the scene, piecing together what happened.
