Saidatu Jalloh was just 14 years old when she vanished from her school in Lambeth, South London, in March 2022. Now 15, she has been missing for more than 10 months, with no clear indication of where she might be.
Despite a police appeal in December 2022, no new leads have emerged. The Metropolitan Police have stated that Saidatu could be anywhere within the United Kingdom.
Saidatu had recently arrived in the UK and enrolled at her school in South London. Teachers became concerned after she missed an entire week of classes, leading to her being reported missing on March 9, 2022. The circumstances surrounding her arrival and subsequent disappearance remain unclear, raising alarm among authorities and the community.
Dominic Norton, founder of Missingblackpeople.com, commented on the case: “Anyone going missing for 10 months is extremely unusual. Especially if they are under the age of 18.”
The Metropolitan Police have urged anyone who recognises Saidatu or has information about her location to come forward as a matter of urgency. Currently, there are no matching immigration records or confirmed sightings of her.
