Tragic End to Swanage Climber Search
Rescue teams have called off the search after a missing climber was found dead off the coast of Swanage. At 12:27pm on Tuesday 28 June 2016, Dorset Police were alerted by HM Coastguard about a body spotted in the water near St Alban’s Head.
Body Recovered, Family Notified
The recovered body is believed to be a 26-year-old man from Southampton who vanished after a climbing trip on Wednesday 15 June 2016. While identification is still pending, his family has been informed of the heartbreaking discovery.
