Man Found Unconscious with Serious Head Injuries Near Southampton Guildhall

Police are hunting for clues after a 45-year-old man was discovered unconscious with severe head wounds near Southampton’s Guildhall on Monday evening.

Collapsed by Civic Offices with Critical Injuries

Officers rushed to the scene at 6.13pm near the Civic Offices, on a walkway leading to Isambard Brunel Road. The man was found collapsed, suffering major facial injuries.

He was rushed to Southampton General Hospital in critical condition, battling brain bleeding and multiple fractures to his skull, face, and ribs.

Police Seek Public’s Help to Crack Mystery

“We don’t yet know whether his injuries were self-inflicted, a nasty fall, or an assault,” said Detective Inspector Barry Ward. “We need the public to come forward with any information about what happened.”
