Murder Horror in Twickenham: Man Fatally Stabbed Late Saturday
Police have launched a murder probe after a 38-year-old man was found dead with stab wounds on Ellerman Avenue, Twickenham, just before midnight on Saturday, 26 April.
Emergency Services Rush to Scene
Officers and paramedics from the London Ambulance Service responded to urgent calls at 11:39pm. Despite emergency first aid, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim’s next of kin have been informed and are receiving support from specialist family liaison officers.
Suspect Arrested and Held in Custody
A 47-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder. He is currently in custody at a south London police station as investigations continue.
Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward
“A team of detectives are working to piece together the circumstances that resulted in this tragic incident. Our thoughts are with the victim’s family at this difficult time,” said Detective Chief Inspector Sarah Lee, leading the investigation.
“Officers will remain in the area throughout the day as they carry out further enquiries and gather evidence. Anyone with concerns or information about what happened should speak to them.”
