A 40-year-old man from St Leonards-on-Sea was arrested on Thursday, 25 November, in connection with the disappearance of Alexandra Morgan. A second suspect, a 53-year-old man from Hastings, who was arrested on Friday, 26 November, has since been released without charge. Police have been granted additional time to question the first man as the investigation continues.
Alexandra Morgan, a mother of two, has been missing since Sunday, 14 November 2021. She was last seen at a petrol station near Cranbrook at 7.20am and has not been in contact with her family since. Authorities are treating her disappearance as suspicious and are considering it a potential murder case.
Detectives have released a photo of Alexandra’s white Mini Cooper with a black roof, registration number MF55 YHM. The vehicle was tracked making trips between her home and the Hastings area on 14 and 15 November. Investigators are urging anyone who saw Alexandra or her car to come forward immediately.
Kent Police, supported by Sussex Police, are currently searching four locations in Hastings and St Leonards-on-Sea. Residents should expect a significant police presence in the area.
Detective Chief Inspector Neil Kimber said: “It is completely out of character for Alexandra not to contact her family. We are now treating this as a potential murder. If you saw Alexandra or her Mini Cooper, or noticed anything suspicious, please get in touch without delay.”
