Man Arrested After Brutal Stabbing in Birmingham
A 32-year-old man has been arrested following a savage stabbing on Bridge Road, Alum Rock, Birmingham.
Afghan Migrant Fatally Stabbed Outside School
The victim, an Afghan migrant reportedly shoeless at the time, was hacked to death outside a local school. Nearby, a nursery was put on lockdown amid the chaos.
Police desperately tried CPR at the scene, but the man died before help could arrive.
The suspect remains in custody as officers dig deeper into the attack.
Woman Injured, Community On Edge
A woman was also hurt but her injuries are not considered life-threatening or life-changing.
Detective Superintendent James Munro of West Midlands Police said: “The incident appears to be contained with a man now in custody. We’re reviewing CCTV footage and speaking to witnesses. Extra patrols are in place to reassure the community.”
