Man Arrested After Fatal Trowbridge Crash
A man has been arrested following a deadly early-morning crash near Trowbridge on Saturday.
The single-vehicle smash happened just after 1.45am on the A361 at Rode, close to the Wiltshire border.
Passenger Killed After BMW Hits Tree
A black BMW careered off the road at the Rode Hill junction, smashing into a tree while heading towards Trowbridge.
The front-seat passenger sadly died at the scene. Avon and Somerset Police have not yet released their identity but have informed next of kin.
Driver, 20s, Held Over Dangerous Driving
The driver, a man in his 20s, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. He was treated in hospital before being taken into custody for questioning.
