Man, 25, Arrested After Attempted Rape of Woman in Her 70s at Sheffield Park
A 25-year-old man has been arrested for the shocking attempted rape of an elderly woman in Sheffield. The horrific attack happened early Wednesday morning in Concord Park, Shiregreen.
Brutal Assault in Concord Park
Police were called at 7:26am on 25 March following reports that a man assaulted and tried to rape a woman in her 70s as she walked through the park. The victim was rushed to hospital with serious injuries. Thankfully, her condition is not life-threatening or life-changing.
Police Boost Patrols and Urge Public to Stay Alert
South Yorkshire Police have increased patrols around Concord Park after the attack. The suspect remains in custody while detectives continue their investigation.
