A 14-year-old boy was robbed in the heart of Liverpool city centre, sparking a major police hunt. The attack happened at John Lewis Q Park on Liver Street just after 2pm on Sunday, January 19. Around six males closed in on the teenager near the fifth-floor elevators, demanding his phone and other belongings before sprinting off on foot.

Detective Inspector Christopher Carlin, leading the investigation, called the robbery “a nasty assault that left the victim traumatised.” Merseyside Police have since scoured CCTV footage and questioned witnesses in a bid to track down the suspects.
