Knife terror struck East London on Saturday, November 19, when two men were stabbed on Loxford Lane in Ilford. The incident unfolded just after 4pm, causing panic among residents and prompting a swift police response.

Police were initially called to reports of men armed with knives on Loxford Lane. Despite officers arriving quickly, no victims or suspects were found at the scene at that time.

However, later that same day, two men aged 21 and 29 were admitted to a hospital in north London with knife wounds. The 21-year-old was treated and released but was immediately arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm (GBH). The 29-year-old man was also detained under the same suspicion.

The following morning, a crime scene remained cordoned off on Loxford Lane as police continued their investigation into the violent attack.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: “On Saturday, November 19, police were called to Loxford Lane in Ilford shortly after 16.00hrs to reports of men with knives. Officers were present. There was no victim or suspect found. A short time later, a 21-year-old man and a 29-year-old man were stabbed and taken to a hospital in north London. The 21-year-old was later released from the hospital. He was arrested and taken into custody on suspicion of causing GBH. The 29-year-old man was also detained on suspicion of causing GBH. In Loxford Lane, a crime scene has been set up. Inquiries are still ongoing.”

Residents in Ilford remain on edge as detectives work to uncover the full circumstances surrounding this stabbing incident on Loxford Lane.
