Three brutal stabbings in just over a week have rocked south-east London. Woolwich, Sydenham, and Walworth have all seen knife attacks that have left three men fighting for their lives. Police are scrambling for leads in what appear to be unrelated assaults.
Sydenham Horror: Man in His 50s Fights for Life After Brutal Knife Attack
The worst attack struck Sydenham on February 26. Just after 2pm, a man in his 50s was found seriously wounded on Kent House Road. Emergency crews rushed him to hospital where he remains in a life-threatening condition. Police have yet to make any arrests.
A large section of the road was cordoned off, with a chilling blue forensics tent marking the grim scene.
“We urge anyone who saw anything to contact police quoting CAD 5477/4MARCH or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111,” police stated.
Woolwich Stabbing: 57-Year-Old Hospitalised After Attack Near Station
Less than a week later, another stabbing unfolded on March 5 on Spray Street, Woolwich, around 1pm. A 57-year-old man suffered wounds to his left arm and head and is now in hospital. Police are no closer to identifying the attacker and are appealing for witnesses.
