Kent Police are actively hunting a reckless driver involved in five separate firework attacks using a grey or dark Mini Cooper over a period of six days.
The incidents began on the morning of Friday, 6 November 2020, when a firework was thrown at a dustcart on Church Road after the Mini Cooper was unable to pass.
Two days later, at 2.40pm, fireworks were thrown from the same vehicle on Green Street Green Road, Darenth, targeting a horse rider. Just 20 minutes after this, another firework was hurled towards a cyclist in Gallows Wood.
On Tuesday, 10 November, at 2pm, a dog walker on Fawkham Road reported a similar firework attack. The following day, around the same time, a horse rider on Exedown Road, Sevenoaks, was also targeted.
Inspector Lizzie Jones from the Tonbridge and Malling Community Safety Unit stated, “It is only by chance that nobody has suffered serious injuries in these incidents. We are linking the reports and ask anyone with information to come forward. If you have dash cam, doorbell cameras, or CCTV showing a grey or dark Mini Cooper during these times, please check your footage.”
Kent Police urge anyone with relevant information to contact them on 01622 604100 and quote reference 46/202049/20 to assist in their investigation.
