Teen Electrocuted to Death in Horror Accident

Tragedy struck Euxton shortly after 6pm on Saturday, March 6. Emergency services rushed to Runshaw Hall Lane after reports a 17-year-old boy was seriously injured.

Despite frantic efforts by police, paramedics, and firefighters, the teenager was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two Others Escape Serious Injury

Two other teens involved in the incident were not seriously hurt. Initial investigations suggest the youngsters may have touched an overhead electrical line with a metal pole, leading to the fatal electrocution.

Police Appeal for Witnesses

Insp John McNamara of Lancashire Police said:

“This appalling incident has led to the tragic death of a young man and my thoughts are first and foremost with his family and loved ones at this time. The family are being supported by specially trained officers.”

He added: “An investigation is underway and remains in its very early stages but I would appeal to anyone who has any information to get in touch with us by calling 101 and quoting log 1241 of March 6th.”
