Lorry Ploughs Into River After Crash on New Year’s Eve

Emergency services rushed to Bedfont Road at 11:39pm on December 31 after a lorry smashed into the Longford River at the junction with Long Lane.

Serious Injuries After Collision

The lorry driver escaped unharmed, but two men and a 1-year-old in the car suffered serious injuries.

Road Closures and Witness Appeal

Police closed nearby roads as they launched an investigation. Sergeant Chris Schultze from Surrey and Sussex Roads Policing Unit urged witnesses to come forward.
