Fire crews responded swiftly to a two-vehicle collision on Stoke Road in Gosport this afternoon. Hampshire Fire and Rescue deployed two fire engines along with a rescue support unit to the scene.
South Central Ambulance Service sent two ambulances to assist with the emergency. Firefighters used specialist cutting gear to free both the driver and passenger who were trapped inside one of the vehicles involved in the crash.
Both victims received medical attention at the scene before being transported to hospital for further treatment. At this time, the severity of their injuries remains unknown.
Emergency services continue to manage the incident while an investigation into the cause of the collision is underway. More updates will be provided as further information becomes available.
