Tragic scenes unfolded on the A27 near Fareham after a fatal crash involving a motorcyclist. The incident occurred just before 6pm on Friday, 24 May, close to the Argos store in Titchfield.
The victim, a 40-year-old man from Fareham, was riding a Honda motorcycle eastbound when he suddenly crossed into the opposite lane and collided with a car. Emergency services arrived promptly, but the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. His family has been informed of the tragedy.
Police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash. Initially, they were looking for a Porsche Panamera-type sports car seen travelling alongside the motorcyclist. This vehicle is now described more generally as a dark-coloured sports car.
Officers stated, “We want to speak to this driver as they may hold crucial information.” Authorities are urging anyone who witnessed the crash or saw the dark sports car to come forward.
