Gun Fired on Busy London Street – No Injuries Reported

Police launched an investigation after a firearm was discharged on Shrubland Road, London Fields, Hackney, on Saturday evening.

Blue Mercedes Convertible Linked to Shooting

The emergency call came in at 6.30pm on 25 February from a member of the public. Officers rushed to the scene, but thankfully, no one was hurt.

Initial enquiries reveal suspects were seen fleeing in a blue Mercedes convertible. So far, no arrests have been made.

Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward

Detective Inspector Mat Freeman, Met’s Specialist Crime North, said: “We know that when this incident happened there were members of public on the street and vehicles driving nearby. Officers are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident or who saw or heard anything suspicious at around that time. Also, if you were driving in the area, did you record something on dashcam? Any piece of information, no matter how irrelevant it may seem, could be crucial in piecing together what took place.”
