Kent Police responded to a massive multi-car pile-up on Hythe Street in Dartford town centre on Tuesday evening at 6.48pm. The crash involved 25 vehicles, causing significant disruption in the area.
Emergency crews from the South East Coast Ambulance Service and Kent Fire and Rescue were quickly dispatched to the scene. Fourteen people sustained minor injuries and are receiving treatment on-site.
A man has been arrested on suspicion of careless driving and remains in police custody while investigations are ongoing.
Hythe Street remains closed as recovery operations continue. Authorities expect to reopen the road later this evening. Motorists are advised to anticipate delays if travelling in the Dartford area.
