Police have confirmed the identity of the 18-year-old man who died after being struck while crossing the A303 near Andover on the evening of Friday, September 16.

Harry Butler, from Walled Meadow, Andover, was pronounced dead at the scene following the collision with a white Fiat motorhome at around 9pm.

The crash involved Harry and another man, aged 23, who were both hit by the motorhome. Tragically, Harry lost his life instantly as a result of the impact.

The second pedestrian sustained serious injuries and was rushed to Southampton General Hospital. His condition is currently stable but remains life-threatening.

The driver of the motorhome was unharmed and left the scene without injury.

Detectives from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are conducting a detailed inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the crash. They are appealing for anyone who witnessed the white Fiat motorhome or the two men prior to the collision to come forward.
