Woman, 50s, Stabbed in Carlisle – Man Arrested on Attempted Murder Charge
Detectives are probing a shocking stabbing on Ellesmere Way, Carlisle. At around 3pm today (Dec 17), a woman in her 50s was attacked and suffered life-threatening injuries. She was rushed to Victoria Infirmary" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Royal Victoria Infirmary for urgent treatment.
Man, 38, Held in Custody
Following swift police action, a 38-year-old Carlisle man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. He remains in custody as enquiries continue. Officers have confirmed they are not seeking anyone else in connection with the stabbing.
