Sheffield Duo Jailed After Police Nab £29K Worth of Class A Drugs
Two Sheffield men have been locked up for over a decade combined after police caught them with large quantities of Class A drugs, cash, and multiple phones.
Officers Spot Suspicious Car on Crookesmoor Road
On 11 June 2024, Sheffield response officers stopped a suspicious vehicle on Crookesmoor Road. Passenger 26-year-old Mohammed Sajid was caught trying to hide something under his seat. A swift search uncovered heroin, cocaine, and crack cocaine stashed beneath him. Three mobile phones were also seized from the car.
The driver, 26-year-old Abidul Islam, was searched too. Police found cash and another mobile phone. Both men were arrested on the spot.
£5,000 Cash and More Drugs Found at Islam’s Home
Officers then raided Islam’s home on Shortbrook Road. They uncovered a brown substance wrapped in foil, a knife, an additional mobile phone, and around £5,000 in cash – all strong evidence of drug dealing.
Harsh Sentences for Sheffield Class A Dealers
On 4 February 2026, Sajid of Wolseley Road was jailed for five years and 10 months. Islam received five years and eight months behind bars.
The pair’s combined haul included tens of thousands in drugs and cash, ending their run as Sheffield’s street dealers.
