Two Held After Brutal Potters Bar Bike Robbery

A violent robbery in Potters Bar has ended with two suspects behind bars after they attacked a man and stole his bike.

Victim Attacked and Bike Snatched in Broad Daylight

At 5:55pm on Wednesday, 25 February, a man in his 20s was walking along High Street when a gang suddenly confronted him. They viciously assaulted him, causing a head injury and back pain, before grabbing his bike and fleeing the scene.

Swift Police Action Nets Two Arrests

Hertsmere CID acted fast. Ronnie Bates, 19, from Aston Way, Potters Bar, was charged with robbery and cannabis possession. Alongside him, a 17-year-old boy, name withheld for legal reasons, faces the same charges.

Both suspects remain in custody and are due in court today, Friday 27 February.

Police Urge Witnesses to Speak Up

Officers are calling on anyone who saw the attack or has information to get in touch. Witnesses are asked to email Investigator Harding at 1.
