A woman remains in custody following the deadly stabbing of Mark Noke, 64, in Thornhill.

Mark Noke was fatally stabbed in the early hours of Saturday, 25 February, at his home on Warburton Road, Thornhill. The 64-year-old died from a stab wound to the chest.

Police have arrested six men aged between 20 and 31 on suspicion of murder. All six men have since been released on bail. Additionally, a 39-year-old man who was previously held on suspicion of assisting an offender has also been bailed.

Acting Detective Chief Inspector Howard Broadribb said: “We are turning over every stone to bring those responsible to justice. This includes searching for anyone helping suspects, specifically wanted man Leighton Tabone.”

He added, “Anyone sheltering Tabone faces arrest for criminal offences.”

Detectives continue to support Mark’s family and urge anyone with even the smallest piece of information to come forward, as it could be vital in solving this case.
