Brent Shooting Horror: Victim Named as Billy McCullagh
Police have identified the victim of a fatal Brent shooting as 27-year-old Billy McCullagh. The tragedy unfolded in the early hours of 16 July on Windrush Road, NW10.
Murder Probe Underway After Deadly Gunshot
Shortly after 3am, Billy was found with a fatal gunshot wound to the chest. A murder investigation was launched immediately. Two men, aged 19 and 24, were arrested on suspicion of murder the same day but have since been bailed until August.
Burnt-Out Land Rover Might Be Key Evidence
Just after the shooting, a metallic grey Land Rover Discovery was set ablaze in the nearby St Raphael’s Estate. Detectives believe the vehicle is linked to the killing.
Detectives Appeal for Witnesses and Footage
“We know that a number of shots were fired and, despite it being early morning, several people were out and may have seen what happened,” said Detective Chief Inspector Simon Stancombe.
“A man has died and his loved ones face terrible grief. The person responsible does not deserve protection. Anyone with information should come forward.”
