A brave 16-year-old’s fight for justice has jailed predator Riaz Armani for 12 years. The 29-year-old, with no fixed address, was found guilty of two counts of rape at Leicester Crown Court on Wednesday, 25 February.
Predator Lured Girl to His Home
The chilling attack happened in September 2023. Armani spotted the vulnerable teenager alone near Hamilton, Leicester just before midnight on 7 September. The girl had recently left home and was reported missing to police.
Quick Thinking Helped Her Escape
Armani forced her back to his Harringworth Road address, gave her cannabis, then raped her. Despite the horror, the girl managed to flee. A night shift worker found her at 4am the next day and called police.
