Strood Sex Offender Jailed for Breaking Child Protection Order
A convicted sex offender from Strood has landed behind bars after flouting a strict court order meant to keep him away from children.
Kier Middleton-Seath Caught Flouting Rules
Kier Middleton-Seath, 28, was locked up in 2022 for holding indecent images of children. He was slapped with a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) restricting his internet use and contact with minors, and placed on the sex offenders register.
But in March 2025, Middleton-Seath gave police the slip. He moved in with a family where a child lived, got a new phone without telling officers, opened a bank account on the sly, and even downloaded indecent images of children again.
Drugs Found During Arrest
On 17 March, cops caught Middleton-Seath driving on Anthonys Way, Strood. A search revealed a stash of cocaine and cannabis in his possession.
He was slapped with multiple charges:
- Three counts of breaching sex offender register rules
- Three violations of his SHPO
- Two counts of making indecent images of children
- Possession of cocaine and cannabis
Guilty Plea Sees Him Jailed for Over Two Years
Middleton-Seath, from Cooling Road, Strood, pleaded guilty and was sentenced on 20 January 2026 to 28 months behind bars. His SHPO was extended by 10 years to keep him under tight control.
“Some sex offenders are given strict conditions to prove they want to change. Middleton-Seath has shown he can’t be trusted in the community,” said Detective Sergeant Fleur Hardie. “We’ll be watching him closely when he’s out again.”
