A savage Sheffield drug feud ended in murder – and now the gang behind the violence is locked up for decades.

Drugs Turf War Explodes Into Murder

On 9 April 2023, emergency crews raced to Callow Drive flats after desperate calls from neighbours. They found 25-year-old Abdullah Hassan shot once in the thigh. Despite frantic efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

South Yorkshire Police launched a major probe, uncovering a vicious gang war over drug territory. Demi Dunford, Alex Taff, Andrew Horton, and Osai Williams hatched a cruel plan to lure Abdullah out and kill him, with Dunford eager to stake her claim.

Gang Tries to Cover Tracks But Fails

The killers fled fast and tried to wipe out evidence – scrubbing down cars and constantly moving around. Even Andrew Horton’s sister, Emma, got tangled up in the cover-up. But police pieced together the chilling truth.

Detective Chief Inspector Andy Knowles said: “This sentencing brings closure to our investigation and justice for Abdullah. Drugs fuel deadly crime, tearing communities apart. Those responsible are off our streets now – and this is a warning to anyone involved in this ruthless trade. We thank the public and all officers who helped bring these criminals to book.”

Hard Time For Ruthless Drug Crew

  • Osai Williams (29) – murder, grievous bodily harm, drug offences, and weapons charges. Locked up for 32 years.
  • Demi Dunford (29) – murder, drugs, and illegal weapon possession. Jailed for 31 years.
  • Andrew Horton (47) – murder, robbery, fraud, and conspiracy to pervert justice. Sentenced to 28 years.
  • Alex Taff (31) – murder. Locked up for 27 years.
  • Emma Horton (38) – conspiracy to pervert course of justice. Given 12 months suspended for two years.

The bloody feud is finally crushed, but police warn the public: keep speaking up to stop drugs and violence from ruining more lives.
