Sussex police have arrested a second suspect in connection with the tragic murder of British Airways hostess Nelly Myers. The 37-year-old man from Crawley was taken into custody early on Friday, December 20, linked to the death of Nelly, whose body was discovered in a Crowborough home on Wednesday evening.

Detective Chief Inspector Alex Geldart of the Surrey and Sussex Major Crime Team confirmed the second arrest. “Both men remain in custody as we continue our inquiries,” he said. He also highlighted the importance of community support, stating, “We appreciate everyone who has come forward and thank locals for their patience during this investigation.”

Police have urged the public to maintain privacy and calm as the investigation progresses. They believe the attack was an isolated incident but emphasized that inquiries are ongoing. “This is a heartbreaking time for Nelly’s family and friends. Specialist officers are supporting them, and we ask the public to respect their privacy,” said DCI Geldart.

He also warned against spreading rumours on social media, adding, “Please avoid spreading rumours on social platforms.”
