Brutal Milton Keynes Man Gets 2 Years for Shocking Abuse
Nathan Stear, 37, from North Row, Milton Keynes, was slapped with a two-year sentence at Aylesbury Crown Court on Thursday, 23 January 2026. Stear pleaded guilty to assault causing actual bodily harm, theft, and assault by beating — horrifying crimes carried out over months against his partner.
Victim Left Covered in Bruises and Scars After Months of Abuse
Between May and August 2025, Stear terrorised a woman in her thirties with relentless violence and coercive control. The victim was battered with bruises on her legs, arms, and neck, deep scratches, and horrifying injuries from attempts to gouge her eyes. In one nightmarish attack, Stear hurled a bed onto her.
Police arrested Stear on 4 August and charged him the following day.
Police Praise Victim’s Courage, Urge Others to Speak Out
“Nathan Stear subjected his victim to repeated and escalating abuse. This was a sustained and terrifying attack that has left lasting physical and emotional scars,” said Detective Constable Charlotte Pratt from the Domestic Abuse Investigation Unit.
“The victim has shown extraordinary bravery and now sees herself as a survivor, not just a victim. I urge anyone suffering abuse or worried about someone to come forward.”
“People can also use Clare’s Law to check if a partner has a history of abuse. It’s a vital tool to protect yourself and make informed decisions.”
