Serial Booze Thief Nabbed – Lands Him Six Months Behind Bars!
Booze Bandit Busted at Waitrose
Muhammad Chaudhry, 25, of no fixed address, has finally been locked up after a string of booze thefts in Twyford. Thames Valley Police caught the persistent shoplifter after his latest swipe at the local Waitrose.
Eight Thefts in Just Three Months
Between December 2025 and February 2026, Chaudhry hit the Twyford Waitrose eight times, stealing alcohol on every occasion. His crime spree came to an end on 9 February when a neighbourhood policing officer arrested him red-handed at Twyford train station.
Suspended Sentence Sparks More Crime – Straight to Prison
Chaudhry initially pleaded guilty and was handed a 16-week suspended sentence at Reading Magistrates’ Court. But just hours later, the audacious thief returned to the store and tried his luck again.
Police acted fast, arrested him on the spot, and this time the court threw the book at him. No more second chances – Chaudhry received a six-month prison sentence for his relentless stealing spree.
