A 24-year-old convicted sex offender has been slammed with a hefty prison sentence for grooming and abusing a 14-year-old girl online. Vitor Soares de Oliveira, a Brazilian national living in Surrey, originally denied the charges but flipped his plea halfway through his trial at Swindon Crown Court back in January.

Grim Grooming and Abuse Uncovered

De Oliveira confessed to five counts of sexual activity with a child and one count of creating Category A indecent images of a child. Last Friday (20/03), he was handed a jail term of seven years and six months. On top of that, he must register as a sex offender for life and is slapped with a 10-year sexual harm prevention order. Authorities also imposed a £228 surcharge.

How the Shocking Abuse Was Exposed

The terrifying ordeal came to light in June 2025 when the victim bravely confided in a friend about the abuse. Police stepped in after concerns grew over the girl going missing from home and being seen with de Oliveira. Court details revealed he manipulated her with drugs, alcohol, vapes, and food to control her.

Disturbingly, the victim believed de Oliveira was just 19 years old, as he went to great lengths to hide his true age.
