Detectives are renewing their hunt for Kelvin Odunuyi’s killer, over a month after the tragic Wood Green shooting that claimed the 19-year-old’s life.
Kelvin Shot Dead in Early Hours
Just after midnight on Thursday, 8 March, armed cops and paramedics rushed to Hollywood Green, High Road, N22, following reports of a shooting. They found Kelvin with a gunshot wound and rushed him to a central London hospital where he sadly died shortly after.
Kelvin, from Barnet, was just 19. A post-mortem at Haringey Mortuary confirmed he died from a gunshot wound to the head.
Suspect Arrested Then Freed
A 21-year-old man was arrested in Archway on Sunday, 11 March during a major armed police swoop. However, he was released under investigation as inquiries continue.
Police Appeal for Crucial Info
Detective Chief Inspector Luke Marks of the Met’s Homicide and Major Crime Command said: “Kelvin was a young man not yet out of his teens when he was ruthlessly gunned down, leaving his family utterly devastated and bereft.”
He added: “Enquiries have led us to believe a pillion passenger on a moped fired several shots at Kelvin before speeding off the pavement. It is vital we identify those responsible.”
