Just after midnight on Wednesday 14 October 2020, a suspicious car refused to stop for police and sped off down Blue Bell Hill, travelling the wrong way. The vehicle was later found abandoned near Rochester Road, with police confirming it had been stolen.
Officers launched a search in the surrounding area and brought in Police Dog Cliff to track the suspects. Around 1am, PD Cliff led police to two young men hiding in a nearby field.
The two individuals, aged 17 and 19 from Abbey Wood, were arrested on suspicion of theft, dangerous driving, and failing to stop for police. Both have since been released on bail while investigations continue.
