Man Charged with Terrorism Offences in North-West London

A 41-year-old man from north-west London has been slapped with terrorism charges after a Met Police Counter Terrorism investigation.

Abdirahman Abdullahi Mohamed faces five counts of possessing documents useful for terrorist purposes, under section 58 of the Terrorism Act 2000.

Remanded in Custody Ahead of Court Appearance

Mohamed was charged on Monday, 16 April, and promptly remanded in custody. He is set to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court this afternoon.

The case traces back to 20 December 2017, when detectives first arrested Mohamed on suspicion of holding terrorist-related documents.

He was released on bail at the time, pending further inquiries. The fresh charges follow a thorough probe and recent arrests by counter-terror officers.
