Oxford Man Jailed for Brutal Break-In and Attack
Francis Nala-Hartley, 30, was locked up for 22 months at Oxford Crown Court on March 10, 2026. The violent rampage unfolded in the early hours of July 6, 2024, when Nala-Hartley, wasted on cocaine and booze, stormed his ex-partner’s home.
Jealous Rage Turns Ugly
After she refused to open the door, Nala-Hartley kicked it down. He then flew into a jealous fury, punching his ex’s mother in the face over baseless claims of an affair. The victim suffered bruises and a nasty scratch. Police found cocaine on the scene and spotted the drug’s telltale signs on Nala-Hartley – white powder under his nose and glazed eyes.
Long Criminal Record Sealed His Fate
- Nala-Hartley claims he can’t remember the attack.
- He was convicted in absentia of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
- He also admitted failing to surrender to police bail twice.
- His rap sheet is sprawling: 19 convictions for 33 offences, including carrying a baseball bat in 2023, breaching a suspended sentence.
