Tragic Crash Claims Two Lives Including Pregnant Woman
Noga Sella, 37, and Yoram Hirshfeld, 81, were fatally struck by an Alfa Romeo on Leopold Street at around 9.35pm on Wednesday, 10 August 2022. Mrs Sella was five weeks pregnant at the time.
Her husband, Omer, and two children were also injured in the horrific smash.
New Charges Over Evidence Tampering
Police have charged Barjunsing Bissendary, 58, and Sadhana Bissendary, 55, with attempting to pervert the course of justice. The couple, both from Manston, allegedly tried to hide key evidence linked to the crash.
They have been released on bail and are due to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 4 November 2022.
Manston Man Faces Multiple Driving Offences
Nitesh Bissendary, 30, also from Manston, was previously charged with:
- Two counts of causing death by dangerous driving
- Two counts of causing serious injury by dangerous driving
- Assault occasioning actual bodily harm
- Failing to provide a sample
- Failing to stop
- Driving while unfit through drugs
The tragic crash has sent shockwaves through the local community as investigations continue.
