Two Teens Charged Over Brutal Bromley Stabbing of 21-Year-Old Gabriel
Young Suspects in Court
Two boys, aged 14 and 17, were charged last Friday, 11 November, over the fatal stabbing of 21-year-old Gabriel. They made a brief appearance at Bexley Youth Court the same day before being remanded into local authority care. Both are set to face trial at the Old Bailey on Tuesday, 15 November.
Murder Shakes Downham Community
Gabriel was stabbed near midnight on Friday, 4 November, on Bromley Road, Downham. Police and London Ambulance Service rushed to the scene to find him gravely injured. Despite emergency treatment, Gabriel tragically died the next afternoon, Saturday, 5 November.
Family Mourns ‘Sparkling’ Son
Gabriel’s mother Mariana poured out her heartbreak: “Gabriel was a young man with a sparkling personality and infinite goodness in his heart. He was taken from us far too soon in the most brutal and cruel way. He had a wonderful sense of humour, was easy-going, compassionate, and always ready to help others. We are devastated by his unnecessary loss just as his bright and passionate life was beginning.
He will always be remembered and forever in our hearts. I am so grateful God sent him to me. He taught me to be a mother. We grew through life’s challenges together, and he made me the person I am today. Gabriel, I love you and will until my last breath.”
Police Hunt Third Suspect
Detectives want to track down 16-year-old George David from Downham, wanted on suspicion of murder. He has connections to Bromley and Orpington. The public is urged not to approach him but to call 999 immediately if they spot him, quoting reference CAD 8645/4 Nov.
