Fenland Drug Dealer Busted After Police Chase
Halil Akyuz, 27, from Chatteris, was slammed with a three-and-a-half-year jail sentence for dealing cannabis in Fenland. The crook was caught after police stopped his black Ford Focus on Bridge Street on 26 August 2023 — but not before the vehicle gave officers the slip once.
Phone Evidence Nails Dealer
Officers seized Akyuz’s phone and uncovered damning proof: photos and videos of cannabis crops, plus screenshots showing large money transfers, flashy watches, and bundles of cash. Despite his denials, a jury at Cambridge Crown Court found him guilty last November.
Jail Time for Fenland’s Cannabis Supplier
On 13 February, Akyuz was handed a hefty 3 years and 6 months behind bars for drug dealing offences at Cambridge Crown Court.
