A man has been jailed after plunging a fishing knife into his housemate’s back following a heated argument in Leicester.
Terrifying Stabbing on Danvers Road
Emergency crews rushed to a Danvers Road home, near Narborough Road, just after 10am on 17 August last year. Inside, they found a man seriously stabbed.
Lonel Cutitaru, 49, had driven the small fishing knife deep into his victim’s back.
Victim Fights for Life with Serious Internal Injuries
The blade tore through the victim’s liver, kidney, and diaphragm, causing life-threatening internal bleeding. He was rushed to hospital in critical condition.
Cutitaru Found Guilty and Sentenced to Jail
- Cutitaru was arrested at the scene.
- He admitted to arguing with the victim and a second housemate before the attack.
- Charged with attempted murder, he was cleared of that but found guilty of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
- On 23 February, Leicester Crown Court sentenced him to seven and a half years behind bars.
