A man has been locked up after an 84-year-old woman’s shocking death in Plumstead.
Knife Attack Leaves Elderly Woman Dead
Police rushed to Red Lion Place at 8:50am on Wednesday, 1 April, following reports of a man armed with a knife. They found Doris Innes, 84, seriously injured and rushed her to the hospital where she tragically died.
Additional Victims Threatened Near the Scene
During the probe, officers uncovered two more victims who were threatened with a knife nearby. Thankfully, they escaped without injury.
Suspect Arrested and Charged
A 62-year-old man, Giorgio Pin of Brookhill Road, Woolwich, was arrested shortly after 9:10am the same day. He now faces charges of murder and two counts of attempted murder. Pin has been remanded in custody and is set to appear at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, 4 April. Doris’ family are being supported by specialist officers as the investigation continues.
