Man Arrested Over Hoxton Street Sex Attack
Omar Mehmoul, 31, from Chatsworth House, Hayes, was snapped up by cops on Monday, 13 April following a police appeal.
Charged with Attempted Rape
The next day, Mehmoul was charged with assault with intent to commit rape under section 62 of the Sexual Offences Act 2003.
He was held in custody and appeared at Thames Magistrates’ Court that same day.
Bail Set for Crown Court Hearing
Police say the charge is linked to an alleged attack on a woman at 5.45am on Saturday, 7 March in Hoxton Street.
Mehmoul was released on bail and is due back in court at Wood Green Crown Court on Wednesday, 13 May.
