Maidstone Drug Dealer’s Shed Secret Turns Sour
A local thug’s garden shed backfired spectacularly after cops caught him red-handed. Jake Everts’ illicit drug empire, operated from his own home, has landed him behind bars.
£25,000 in Cash and Drugs Found Stashed in Garden Shed
On 22 July 2025, police stormed Everts’ Hubbards Lane property in Loose following reports of a disturbance. A swift search uncovered a stash of cocaine, cannabis, £25,000 in cash, scales, and money counting machines—all hidden inside his garden shed.
Everts, 34, was arrested on the spot.
Desperate Move: Tossed Phone Tried to Hide Evidence
During the raid, officers heard a phone ringing outside the shed. It’s believed Everts flung the phone out the window in a last-ditch effort to cover up his drug dealings.
Justice Served: Jail Time for Drug Dealer
Charged with possession with intent to supply both class A and B drugs, plus possessing criminal property, Everts pleaded guilty. On 15 January 2026, Maidstone Crown Court sentenced him to 3 years and 6 months behind bars.
Detective Constable Rohan Gupte said: “Everts thought his shed was the perfect crime hub because he believed he wouldn’t get caught. He was shocked when we turned up.
“Despite his attempts to hide evidence, it was clear illegal activity was going on.”
“We will keep hunting drug dealers across Kent, ensure they face justice, and seize any profits made illegally.”
