Daniel Boakye, 21, locked up for six years over knifepoint robberies, has pulled off a slick getaway from police custody. The thug fled University Hospital Lewisham on February 15 while under medical care.

Police Hot on His Heels as Boakye Boards London Bus

Officers gave chase but failed to catch him before he vanished into the streets. A new image shows Boakye hopping on a London bus, rocking grey tracksuit bottoms and a dark Nike jacket. He’s described as a slim-built black man.

Fugitive Rapper Drops Track Bragging About the Escape

Still on the run, Boakye—aka DSAVV—released a track titled “The Race.” The lyrics boast about dodging police and challenge officers to “catch me if you can.” The song pays homage to US rapper Tay-K, famous for recording while on the run.

Criminal Past and Police Manhunt Underway

  • Boakye was jailed in July 2023 for threatening victims with a knife and stealing phones plus banking details.
  • He’d been caught before but managed to abscond yet again.
  • The Met Police are urgently searching and reviewing how the escape happened.

“Officers searching for a 21-year-old man who absconded from Lewisham Hospital are releasing a new image, as they continue to appeal to the public for information,” said a Met Police spokesperson. “Anyone with info should call 999 quoting CAD4005/15FEB or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
