Racial Harassment and Drug Charges Laid

A 35-year-old man from Maidenhead has been slapped with serious charges after a nasty incident involving racial abuse and drugs. Jamil Munir, of Arkley Court, faces one count of racially aggravated harassment, one count of resisting a police officer, and possession of a class A drug—heroin.

Incident Shocks Oldfield Road Community

The trouble kicked off on Oldfield Road, Maidenhead, on Wednesday (23 September), when Munir allegedly racially abused a police officer during an altercation. He also resisted arrest, escalating the situation.

Next Stop: Reading Crown Court

Munir made a brief appearance at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Thursday (24 September). He’s set for a full hearing at Reading Crown Court on 26 October, where things could get serious.
