Paedo Released Early Now Living Just 200 Metres from Portsmouth Infant School
A convicted sex offender who downloaded and shared horrific child abuse images is now living shockingly close to a Portsmouth infant school, we can reveal.
Child Abuser Settles Near Stamshaw School
Lloyd Butler, known as Oz, was jailed in 2014 after being caught distributing vile movies and photos, some showing children being raped and tortured. The court heard he shared these with other paedophiles online.
Despite this, Butler was released from Broadmoor Hospital after serving only 18 months of a three-year sentence. Now he lives just 200 metres from a school in the Stamshaw area, sparking fears among parents and locals.
Past Allegations and Serious Risk
Butler also faced other rape allegations, but those did not lead to convictions due to lack of evidence. He pleaded guilty at Portsmouth Crown Court and was sentenced by Judge Advocate Robert Hill.
The case unravelled when a friend was searching for deleted photos on a laptop given by Butler. Police found 1,461 indecent images and 24 videos of child abuse.
He was jailed for over three years and made to register as a sex offender, but his early release and current proximity to young children remains deeply concerning.
Community Left on Edge
Parents in Stamshaw fear for their children’s safety with Butler so close by. Campaigners are calling for stricter monitoring and relocation policies for sex offenders near schools.
The authorities have yet to comment on the situation or any steps being taken.
