Gang Punches Man to the Ground in Shocking Margate Robbery Attempt
A man in his 20s was brutally punched and held down by a gang in Margate during an attempted robbery.
Five Thugs Hunt for Loot on Rosedale Road
The victim was walking along Rosedale Road near Wharfdale Road at around 2.45am on Tuesday 11 August 2020 when a group of about five people attacked him. They punched him to the ground and searched his pockets. Luckily, they fled empty-handed after a nearby house light spooked them.
Two Arrested but Now Out on Bail
Kent Police swooped on the scene and arrested a 23-year-old from Broadstairs and a 25-year-old from Ramsgate. Both men have since been released on bail until 2 September, as inquiries continue.
Police Hunt Taxi Driver and Witnesses
Officers want to hear from anyone who saw the attack or the suspected getaway. They are especially keen to speak to the driver of a white or light-coloured taxi reported picking up a passenger nearby around the same time.
